CIVIL ENGINEERS.
A large attendance of members was presided over by Mr. H. W. Beasley at the quarterly meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Society of Civil Engineers at the School of Engineering, University College, last night. Mr. B. L. Hamilton submitted a paper on the design of the Mount Hobson service reservoir and Mr. A. D. Mead described the activities of the Sydney Metropolitan Water Board, based on recent personal observations.
