WELLINGTON INCIDENTS. ASSAILANTS ESCAPE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", this day. Attacks on Wellington residents liave been made on two occasions recently by unidentified men. The first instance occurred at Roseneatli, where a woman who was walking along a well-lighted right-of-way was struck on the head w?tli a piece of wood. The assailant seized her handbag and escaped. A Chinese fruiterer, Luey Guy, is the latest victim. He was approached by two men in his shop in Pirie Street and asked for an order of vegetables. When he turned away from the counter he was struck a violent blow 011 the head with some implement. He called for help and his attackers escaped.
