BIRKDALE CLUB. Officers elected at tiie annual meeting of the Birkilale Cricket Club last night: Patron, Mr. G. Mills, Mayor of Birkenhead; president. Mr. T. M. Shepherd; secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. J. Osborne; committee, Messrs. W. B. Darlow, Gordon Fairgray, It. C. Stirling and F. - Osmond: auditor, Mr. Tlios. Chapman; scorer, Mr. H. Peterson; delegates to Auckland Cricket Association, Messrs, Fred Osmond and L. Cooper; ladies' committee, Mesdames C. W. Inwards. T. M. Shepherd. S. Collins, H. M. Shepherd, nnd Miss Collins. Over thirty members were present. Mr. T. M. Shepherd presided. The report recorded a satisfactory financial position and a successful season, the third grade team being beaten in the final for the championship. The prospects for the ensuing season, it was stated, were particularly good, and the club would be able to enter l'our teams for the Auckland Cricket Association competitions.
