BREAD PRICES.
RAISED IN LONDON. According to the London "Daily Express" bakers sprang a surprise when, following a reduction of 2/6 in the price of flour—from 38/6 to 36/ a sack of 2SOIb — they increased the price of bread as from Monday, August 17, from SJ to B%d a 41b loaf. It is more than six years since the price of bread was so high. In Auckland a 41b loaf costs lid.
