PAEROA COURSE.
IMPROVEMENTS TO TOTALISATOR. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, this day. Several alterations have been made at the Paeroa racecourse recently by the Ohinemuri jockey Club in preparation for the Taumarunui Racing Club's spring meeting, which opens on Saturday. Part of the fence between the outside and the enclosure has been removed, so that there is now no distinction between the two places. Admission charges are Qn one scale only. . Extensions have been* made to the totalieator house, 15ft having been added to 'each end. About ten more windows have' been to provide extra accommodation for investors, and paying out of dividends. This should alleviate some of the congestion that occurred at the last Paeroa race meeting, and should assist in running the events to time. The track has been carefully attended to during the- winter months, and the few days', fine weather during the past week has given the'grass renewed growth.
