SOCCER FIXTURES.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. SENIOR DIVISION STRUGGLE. COMRADES V. MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR. The extension of the Soccer first division senior championship to three rounds brings added interest to the positions of th? teams and will prolong the struggle for supremacy and to avoid relegation. The game at Blandford Park will be between Comrades, who have lately been showing rapidly improving form, and Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys, who are the leaders of the competition, and in view of the surprises which Comrades have sprung of late, it is difficult to foretell what the result may bo. Both teams play a forceful game, with flashes of combined football, and a close contest should result. At Western Springs Ponsonby will meet Metro-College, who also have been showing surprisingly good form of late. Ponsonby will b weakened by the absence of Bob Ilines and Alf. Smith, who are at Wellington with the New Zealand team to meet Australia, and as a result the side will undergo something in the nature of a reshuffle. Nevertheless. Ponsonby are hopeful of holding the vigorous Metro side and retaining their position near the to- of the table, three points behind Mount Albert Grammar. A dour struggle should eventuate at Devonport, where Shore United and Thistle meet. Thistle are a little higher 011 the competition ladder than Shore, who lately have disappointed their supporters, but never fail to give of the best against the Scots. The game should be a strenuous and exciting affair, with little between the teams at the finish. Championship table:— Goals. Ch. P. W. L. D. F. A. Pts.
