TRIBUTE TO SERVICES.
MR. W. J. JORDAN FAREWELLED NEW HIGH COMMISSIONER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The future High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., was fareweiled by members of the Government party at a caucus after the House of Representatives adjourned for the midwinter recess yesterday. Mr. Jordan will be leaving New Zealand before the House resumes on July 21, to represent the Dominion at the League of Nations Assembly at Geneva in September. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, and other members of the Government paid tribute to Mr. Jordan's services. The presentation of travelling bags was made to Mr. Jordan, arid an envelope, with a substantial cheque enclosed, was given to Mrs. Jordan.
