STORES AT WESTFIELD. An average yarding of dairy cattle at Weatfield, yesterday met, a rather dull gale. The store beef classes gave better results'. Quotations: — Store Cattle.—Young cows, good condition, £2 2/6 to £3 5/; less condition, 35/ to £2; others, to 32/6; boner and aged cows, to £3 5/; boner bulls, to £o 15/; breeding Jersey bulls, to £4 15/; yearling Jersey heifers, good quality, to £2 5/; others, to 37/6. SALE OF JERSEYS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The annual reduction' sale of the Crystal Springs Jersey stud, the property of Mr. Charles Stevens, of Maungatapere, was held yesterday. There was a moderate attendance of buyers and bidding was at the start rather slow. Competition was not so keen as at Mr. A. E. Phillip's recent sale. The young cows offered were of a good type and the heifers were excellent. The average price for the sale was about lOgs, top price being 17Vigs for the heifer Crystal Springs Happy, sold to Mrs. J. Stirling (Matakohe). The auctioneers in conjunction were the North Auckland Farmers' Co-op., Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd.
