ROBBERY ALLEGED.

MAN STRUCK IN DARK. LABOURER BEFORE COURT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. In the Magistrate's Court, Rawiri Makariki, labourer, 24, of Koputaroa, was charged with robbing William Edward De Ridder, at Shannon, of £7 10/, and also with using personal violence to De Ridder. Accused was remanded until Thursday. The charge is the outcome of an incident at Shannon 011 Saturday night when Dc Ridder, while walking near the Shannon station, 011 a visit to some friends was attacked by some man and knocked unconscious. When lie regained consciousness he was suffering from facial injuries and his money had disappeared.
