NURSES' HOURS.
Having read with great interest the letters in your paper recently dealing with the above subject I would like to enter my plea for shorter hours for nurse* in private and cottajre hospitals, which are usually under-staffed. The nurses, besides tending the patients, often do most of the domestic work during their 12 to 14 hours daily, and the night nurse, where one is kept, fares no better, either in hours or anything else. They all make as many sacrifices as nurses in the public or mental hospitals. I. for one, hope that the new Government will see its way clear to make some improvement in these nurses' working hours. ANOTHER NURSE.
