ADVERTISING HONOUR.

MEMBER OF AUCKLAND FIRM. Advice has been received in Auckland that Mr. R. Trenchard Smith, of the J Auckland executive staff of J. Inglis | Wright, Ltd., has been appointed a feli low of the Advertising Association of I Australia, the highest diploma obtaini able in the advertising profession in the I southern hemisphere. The advertising association, which was founded in 1918, is a similar institution to the Institute of Secretaries. Examinations are held I every year, and this year six New Zealand candidates will sit for their associate certificates.
