BOWLING.

" GROSS DISCOURTESY." WELLINGTON IS AGGRIEVED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. "Gross discourtesy" was the description of the action of the Canterbury Bowling Centre by members of the Wellington Centre last evening, when discussing the announcment of the abandonment of the Barnett Tiki matches for all time. Members decided to ask Canterbury if reports that this action had been taken as the result of Wellington's laxity in attending to correspondence were correct. The discussion arose from the announcement that considerable and prolonged trouble had been caused by the matches. A Canterbury member had said they had no end of trouble over the matter and there always had been trouble in arranging dates with Wellington. Members of the Wellington Centre expressed astonishment at the reported severance of relations. It was stated that Wellington had not been informed of the decision and that when a telegram was received from Canterbury intimating that matches had been abandoned the Wellington team had actually been constituted.
