MISSING TRAWLER.

SEEN NEAR MADEIRA? (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 18. The skipper of the British steamer Avoceta advises Lloyd's that when passing the Salvage Islands, 180 miles south of" Madeira, yesterday, he saw an anchored fishing vessel answering to the description of the North Sea trawler Girl Pat, which vanished after calling at Corcubion, Spain,, and was thought to have been taken by her master and crew. The Avoceta's captain said that several boats were working close inshore while another was ashore. The Salvage Islands are a small rocky group, dependencies of Madeira, used mainly for fishing bases.
