Mrs.' Anne Lane gave an interesting address on "Holland" at a recent meeting. Holland, she said, was a. small country, but had a population fo seven million people. Easter is the best time to visit the country, when the tulips could, be seen. Field after field were all laid out in bulbs, the farmer growing tulips, daffodils . and hyacinths as farmers in other countries grew wheat. ■ Up to the age of ten, the boys and girls '' were dressed very much alike in blouses ancl voluminous trousers , and it was difficult .to distinguish between ' them. There iaj however, no such thing as a national Dutch costume. An interesting .place visited was a model cheese farm, wliich was more like a country house than a factory. In the market visitors saw "miles of cheeses," laid out on white linen for sale. Marriage ceremonies were performed in the Town Hall, there being first-class, second-class and third-class weddings. Mrs. Carr Rollett presided, and thanked the speaker. .
