CHINESE GARDENS.
ENCROACHMENT ON CITY.
Two residents of Reniuera wrote to the Auckland City Council last evening directing attention to the fact that the owner of a property adjoining in Waiatarua Road was considering leasing his property to Chinese for market gardening, /and stating that - in their opinion this would depreciate the value of all adjoining properties and also create a general nuisance. The residents wanted to know if there was a limit to the encroachment in* the city ai;ea by Orientals. V The matter was.referred to the finance i committee, with power to act.
