WANGANUI, Monday, For supplying wrong information to the police at Auckland that he had been robbed of £117 at the races David Gordon Lindsay was fined £5 in the Police Court. It was stated that accused's statement had caused, a certain amount of suspicion at the time on two other people who were with him at the races. Accused had lost a wallet containing £16. This was the first prosecution here under a Mew section of the Act.
