HOME-OWNING.

I am a young married man who, after leaving public school, was sent to work. Through the depression I became unemployed for over' a year. I was fortunate enough to get the job lam now engaged in. I married, making my job more secure. I have been in the position for three years. I have stinted and scraped and managed to furnish my house well enough to have it insured for £250 against fire, on a. wage starting at £2 5/ and meals, rising now to £2 18/ and meals. I have a boarder who pays £1 weekly. I notice in your "Properties for Sale" that a certain firm would for a small deposit build a house and supply a section. If I happened to have the small deposit ready I could take advantage of the offer and from every poun£ I put into the house I could reap some benefit: should I want to sell. I haven't the deposit, yet I still pav £52 a year because I can only afford to rent a house" Could any of your readers advise me if there are any institutions or Government Departments to which I and hundreds of young married people wao would like to own the house they live in could apply without being bled at every turn? ■ K. OSBORNE.
