R. ULMER DISQUALIFIED. WELLINGTON, Sunday. The Wellington cycling championships ■were held at the Petone Oval yesterday. The 1000 metres race was partially robbed of interest by the disqualification of E. Ulmer, but the finishes were exciting and the racing good. Results:--1000 Metres. —Leslie Sowerby 1, Len Sowerby 2. Time, 13 2-ss, was for the last furlong. 880 Yards Junior. —P. Roe 1, W. Keighley 2 H. Biggs 3. Time, 63 l-ss. "'One Mile Junior. —H. Biggs 1, C. lieGurk 2, W. Keighley 3. Time, 2.T 4-5. 1000 Metres Time Trial.—R. Ulmer, 1.18 2-5 ; T. Roe, 1.20 1-5; Len Sowerby, 1.20 2-o! WHANGAREI CLUB. The Wliangarei Cycle Racing Club held a race over six miles, nine competitors taking part, the placed men finishing in_ a bunch. Result :—T. Beeston (15s), 13.58, 1; T. Clark (scr), 13.47, 2 ; Wl Beeston (scr). 13.47 2-5, 3. The fastest time was recorded by. T. Clark, 13.47.
