EVICUS FOR KALGOORLIE,

PERTH, February 2

Considerable surprise and comment was caused in trotting circles when it was discovered, after much publicity had been given an arrangement between the West Australian Trotting Association and Mr. H Rudd, part-owner of Evicus, for the grand champion of the inter-Dommion championship to make an attempt on the mile record at a meeting to-night, that both Evicus and Emilius Way, who were stated to be remaining in West Australia for some time, had been entrained last night for Kalgoorhe and Adelaide, where it is understood they are to participate in races with other horses who took part in the championship C °Mr. S Rudd left by train last night The | Trotting Association was not notified ot the cliiuige of plan 6.
