Mrs. Ernest Clarke and Miss Doris Bradford, who arrived in New Zealand in November for the opening ■of the fishing season, left for Melbourne by the Mariposa, and will return by the Monterey, to continue fishing in the thermal district until the close of the fishing season.
Lady Buckleton" and Miss Buckleton, who resided for many years in Auckland, and now live in Wellington, leave New Zealand for London on February. 29. Miss Buckleton has been studying' beauty culture, and is taking an intensive course with a specialist in matters of health associated with beauty.
Miss M. Cormack, of the commercial staff of the "Tarafiaki Daily News," hasaccepted a position on the staff of the "New Zealand Herald," and takes Up her duties at the beginning of March. In her capacity as private secretary to the late Mi'. T. C. List,'especially during Mr. List's term as district governor of Rotary in New Zealand, MiM Cormack became intimately associated with the Rotary movement in its wider sphere, and when the Cripple.d-Children's Society was founded largely .is a result of Mr. 1 List's work, Miss Cormack was appointed secretary of the New Plymouth branch the society, a position which she still
