MANGERE AERODROME WORK.
I have been 011 tliis joh some six weeks now and this is tlie opinion I have formed: That expressive term "white-anting"' certainly applies to this job. There are certain men on it whose whole aim in life seems to be to stir up discontent and trouble. Certainly there are many grounds for discontent, but some men are led away by wild promises, etc., of certain other loud-spoken individuals. Luckily we have a few sane, sensible spokesmen here, and eventually a large majority of the men will rally round them and endeavour to give the Government a chance to carry out its promises. Another sore point is that the men themselves have to dismiss any of their mates who are slacking on the job. In many cases they refuse to do this and therefore penalise themselves. In my opinion, the P.W.D. ganger should have such right, and lie must certainly see grounds for using it. SANE LABOUR.
