In reply to "Lone Wolf's" letter re tlie behaviour of New Zealand girls at dances, in all fairness, I think, he judges the many by the few. As for going abroad for mates, I am afraid that they will continue to do so until the men realise the importance of detail in both dress and manners. . I have myself observed young men and youths at dances stroll up to a girl with hands in Dockets and stand in that manner

Thai is only one example of their manners I have frequently been told that mj ideas of behaviour and manners (twc inseparable things) are old-fashioned and out of date. gome New Zealand girls will not marry while this continues.
