LAWN TENNIS.
AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. JUNIOR AND INTERMEDIATE. TOURNEY OPENED YESTERDAY. Good progress, considering the unfavourable court conditions, was made yesterday in tlie Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's junior and intermediate championships. The boys' events were held at Stanley Street, while the girls were engaged at Kenwern. The junior and intermediate competitions will be continued on Monday at Stanley Street. The senior competitions will be commenced to-day. It is hoped to play the final of the ladies' singles next Wednesday and the other finals next Thursday. Results of Thursday's play :—- "Boys' Titles.
