THREE DROWNED.

ABERDEEN TRAWLER SINKS. (Received 2 p.m.) '*" RUGBY, December 27. Lifeboatmen did gallant rescue work under conditions of grave risk .at the wreck of the trawler which was thrown by heavy seas against the North Pier at Aberdeen and sunk on Christmas Night, three of her crew of five being drowned. '

They were unable to reach the trawler on the weather side and a lifeboat approached between the vessel and the pier. She was twice lifted by the waves on to »a concrete ledge. Another wave swept her on to the stern of the trawler, over which she slipped.
