FIRE ON STEAMER.

U.S.S. CO. SHIP'S COPRA CARGO,

(Received 2.30 p.m.) VANCOUVER, December 27. A four-hour fire in the copra cargo hold of the Cape York, a Union Steam Ship Company's vessel, at the dock here caused undetermined damage. Captain H. Townsend believes that the damage to the ship is slight and expects little delay. Six firemen were overcome by fumes, but all recovered.
