MODEL AEROPLANES. • (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA.'this day. A New Zealand record for a model aeroplane flight is being claimed for the performance of a model flown by Douglas Hair, of Elstow, at the Thames Valley Model Aeroplane Association's annual field day at Herriesville. The machine, an ordinary spar model, was hand-launched in the ordinary way. It immediately rose to an altitude of about 200 ft, and was officially clocked to remain in the air for 31 minutes. Steps are being taken to have the flight recorded in the Dominion record book.
