Wing-Commander. S. Grant-Dalton, chairman of directors of East Coast Airways, Limited, will leave for England in February. Mr. Claude Tanner, A.K.A.M., L.R.A.M. (London), the well-known Wellington 'cellist, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr. W. McHardy Forman, managing director of General Motors (New Zea- n land), Limited, arrived in Auckland by train yesterday, and left for Sydney by the Mariposa yesterday. Mr. E. Winter, a well-known Australian field athlete, has arrived in New Zealand. He has been appointed athletic coach to the Napier Club for a short term, and will compete in various centres in the North Island. Mr. W. S. Bennett, who has occupied the position of superintendent in New Zealand for Dalgety and Company, Ltd., for some years past, has been appointed to succeed Mr. W. D. Stewart as superintendent in Australia for the same company. Mr. Stewart will be retiring at the end of June next. For some years he was superintendent in New Zealand, succeeding Mr. A. Macintosh, of Wellington, to that position. The appointment of Mr. Bennett to the Australian superintendency will involve other important staff changes in the New Zealand service of Dalgety and Company.
