OUR FLOWER GAME.

(Xo. 31.) A graceful climbing plant appears as the member of our Flower Game this week. This is the convolvulus, a weed that has been introduced from England. This plant will soon spread owing to the fact that its root-stock creeps under the ground. This makes it very hard

to eradicate if it once becomes established. The convolvulus Hawk moth feeds on this flower. It is related to several garden plants; one is the very blue convolvulus, and another the beautiful Chatham Island convolvulus. The sweet potato is another member of this family. The flower is either pink or white, and the leaves bright green, while the stems are tinted red.
