TREATMENT FOR SPRAINS.

Sprains are due to a sudden wrench or twist, but their effect may sometimes be delayed for an hour or more. Sometimes one does not realise they are so bad until the following day. For this reason it is difficult at times to recall how a sprain occurred. The correct treatment for sprains is to support the injured part in the most comfortable position and to apply cold water dressings. If this does not give relief, then apply towels wrung out of hot water. Rest for the sprained part is essential.
