N.Z. SWIMMERS.

DEPARTURE FOR SYDNEY. COMPETING IN CHAMPIONSHIPS. New Zealand will be represented in the New South Wales swimming championships, which commence next Saturday, by W. J. Jarvis and P. E. Mathieson. Jarvis, the New Zealand 100 yds and 220 yds champion, will compete in the freestyle sprints, and Mathieson, who, is the Dominion backstroke champion, will contest backstroke events. Jarvis and Mathieson are competing at the invitation of the New South Wales Amateur Swimming Association. They arrived from Dunedin yesterday morning and left for Sydney by the Mariposa in the afternoon.
