NORTH SHORE TOURNEY.
BUSH HEADS QUALIFYING PLAY.
The annual open summer tourney of the North Shore Golf Club was commenced yesterday, when the two qualifying rounds tor the championship and handicap match play event were played. There was a good representation of competitors, including a number of visitors from outside the province The local player M. Bush headed the Qualifying list with rounds of 77 and 7J, which won him the Summer Cup. J-he trophy for the best net score was won by G Philsou (Maungakiekie), with an aggre"ate of 179 —30 —143. The best individual rounds were those of Bush, Glendinning and Morpeth, all 77. The following qualified for the championship.:—M. Bush (North Shore) 100, K. Glendinning (Manawatu) 157, I.
