PARTY AT WAIMAUKU.

A successful Christmas party was held in the local hall when the Wuimaiiku Women's Institute gave an evening to the members of the institute and their families. Old-fashioned games were played by the children and each child received a gift from a realistic fish pond. Later. Father Christmas distributed toys to every child and in addition ice cream and bags of sweets were distributed. Supper brought the children's part of the evening to a close. ,y, r . Lance Kerr-Taylor presented the prizes won by members during the year. Mrs. J. G. Radford received a special prize in addition to her three others for having gained the highest, points for the year. An amusing sketch, "Mechanical jane," was given by Mrs. Pat Cane, Mrs. Colin Hamblin and Miss Iris Hutchings.
