Passing the stands on completion of a round Corona Bell was in charge from Great Sonoma, Worthy Xor Bingen Sun and Polly Pan. • The Classic Event. Die four remaining in the Great Northern Derby went to the post, and Valdor was the prime fancy, while Great Jewel was next favoured. The Mifi, however, reared up at the start, wing round and lost a good deal of ground; Kenworthy quickly took charge from Valdor and Baron Grand, and gqing past the sta"nds after completing a round mi six lengths ahead of Valdor, who ni followed by Baron Grand, with Great Jewel making up ground. There was j» change along the back and ProMarian entered the straight six length" War of Wee Parrish, Lux Lunae, Toll m and Parochial. .Proletarian went on to win by ten leneths from Lux MiMe, who beat Wee Parrish by four ragths. Tollgate was eight lengths nrther back, with Bismuth, Hot Point, Mwpie's Crest and Panfurly Lass next.
