CHAMPION HANDICAP TO REY SPEC.
The weather is fine, though overcast, for the continuation of the Auckland I rotting Club s Cup carnival at Epsom, to-day being Great Northern Derby Day. There is another excellent attendance. ine track is hard and fast. Corona Bell defeated Worthy Nor and Polly Pan in the Oak Handicap. In a four-horse field for the Derby Valdor was too good for Kenworthy and Great Jewel. Proletarian, Lux Lunae and Wee Parrish paid the dividends in the Tramway Handicap. Smooger was first home in the Bledisloe Handicap, in which Grace McElwyn and Travis filled the minor places.
