COLLISION ON BRIDGE.
COMMENT BY MAGISTRATE. 1 1 (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAEROA. Wednesday. comment was made by Mr. F. Hj. Levien, S.M., in the Paefoa Magistrate's Court to-day concerning the action of the police in charging with dangerous driving only one of two motorists who raced for a one-car bridge oh the Te Aroha Road near Paeroa, in October last and collided on the bridge. Otway William Hayes, farm hand, of Netherton, who was charged, and John Christie, railway porter, of Horotiu, who was called bv the police to give evidence, wiere both told by the magistrate that they were at fault, but that as it was not possible to apportion the degree of negligence he was not going to. punish the one.
