MINING EMPLOYEE HURT.
WAIHI, this day. Head injuries were received by Mr. Norman Richard Harris, a single man employed at the Martha Gold Mining Company's Victoria battery at Waikino last evening. The accident was caused by the falling of a piece of timber. The injured, man was brought to Dr. L. R. Iletherington's surgery at Waihi, and later was admitted to hospital. It is understood that liis injury is not serious.
