ON 'CHANGE.
BUSINESS KEEPS UP. BANK SECTION STEADY. Steady business is passing on the local Stock Exchange, and at this morning's call a fair volume was recorded. The banking section was fairly firm, and sellers were chary with their offers. Xew Zealands were asked for at £2 10/9 with no sellers, and Reserves were quoted between £0 3/ and £li 6/. Goklsbrough, Moris were a little easier between £ 1 10/6 and £1 11/9. Auckland Gas shares had fresh business at £1 '<> with more wanted, and sellers onlv 3d above. Colonial Sugars continue to firm, with buvcrs at £41 5/ and sellers £1 higher. Consolidated Bricks were again in keen demand. Buyers moved up to 10/3 without obtaining supplies, sellers standing out for 10/9. . Government stocks were again firmly held, the only lots on offer being one of J 4o's at £IC2 and one of dissenteds at £101 10/. Big List at Noon. Orders were fairly numerous, and an unusually large list of sales was finalised at the noon call. The market tone was good, and late values were generally maintained. Buyers for National Banks moved up to £3 12/9. and sellers of Reserves raised their limits to £6 7/. Emperor Mines were placed on the official list with quotations from 19/6 to 20/6. SALES COMPLETED.
