ASSAULT BY ABYSSINIANS.
DECORATED ON THE FIELD. United Press Association.—Copyright.—Eec. 1.30 p.m. ADDIS ABABA, October 22. Enabling her to be decorated on the field, the Emperor has sent a medal for bravery to Waizero Assagedich, wife of Rae Habte Michail, whom she accompanied to the front in defiance of the Emperor's orders, dressed as a man.
When a party of Italians approached their post on October 1 8, and Michail was about to retreat, she proved that the female of the species is .more deadly than the male by hastening to another outpost and taking command of the occupants, cheering them to the assault which she personally led, routing the Italians and killing several.
