FIRE HAVOC.
HUGE AFFORESTATION AREA. (Kcceived J 0.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Fire on the Mount Mitchell afforestation reserve on the northern tablelands laid waste in a few hours the work of several years. About 12;"> acres were burnt out. It is estimated that £0,000 trees, planted seven years ago, were destroyed, it is believed the lire was accidentally caused by a. match or a cigarette.
