Tho need for parents to assist the ppprations of the Tofeoroa District ralf Clnl> was stressed at thr> first annual ineetli'jr by the chairman, Mr. F. F. Flavall. lie said tliat in view of the fact that a show would lie lielil at Putarurii next year it was likely that Tokoroa would have to provide trophies for the .Xokoroa show. Two donations totalling £2 7/<J were received. The following are the club's officers: — Chairman, Mr. Flavall: secretary, Mr. E, H. Walker; committee, Messrs. T. M. Turner. W. Oliver, A. 0. Dyson, B. Thompson anil G. Ireland. Advice was received from the >'cw Zealand Hallway Department during the annual meeting of the Tokoroa Co-opera-tive Dairy Co.. I>td., that freight from I'utarnru to Auckland had l>een reduceil from 38/3 a ton to 35/ for the company's products. The company had been negotiating for some thne-with the railways for tinconcession.
