The first Polar theatre is to open shortly—for the benefit of the lumbermen and hunters of Igarka, Ditkson Island, and other parte of the Soviet Polar region. The decorations, costumes and theatrical properties are being packed into specially constructed casee, which will, when necessary, be transformed into a stage. The repertoire of the theatre includes the works of various classical authors, notably Moliere'e "Tartuffe," as well as plays by modern writers.
