FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" thi6 afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: —• Strong east to south-east winds of gale force at places, weather cloudy to overcast, with rain, heavy in parts, seas rough. An intense anti-cyclone now lies centrally over the South Island, while pressure is still low to the north of New Zealand, a cyclone being centred this morning north-west of Norfolk Island. HAURAKI GUXjF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind easterly, fresh; seas moderate; weather cloudy and hazy with scattered showers; visibility fair; barometer rising.
