SHIPPING NEWS.

PORT DARWIN DELAYED. PORT WHANGAREI FROM TONGA. The departure of the Port Darwin for final loading at Wanganui was delayed several hours last evening. At 5 o'clock, the time she was to sail, three of the firemen were missing and to prevent the ship sailing without them, the remaining stokers came ashore. About 8.30 p.m. two of the missing men arrived and the ship, which had been taken to an anchorage, left for Wanganui. The Port' Whangarei arrived this morning from Tonga. The Gabriella arrived this afternoon from the South. The Golden Cloud sails to-morrow for the South. H.M.S. Dunedin leaves tomorrow afternoon on an extended cruise to the South Pacific. Three cargo vessels are due from overseas on Thursday morning, Birchbank from Java, Aldington Court from New York, and the Welcombe from Nauru Island. , Gabriella arrived at 2.30 p.ni. to-day from Lyttelton. After discharge she proceeds to Whangaroa and Sydney, late this evening. (U.S.S. Co.) Karetu is expected this afternoon from Westport, berthing at the Prince's wharf.
