LOCAL BODY GIFTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. In answer to an inquiry regarding contributions to the King's jubilee gift fund in aid of cancer research in New Zealand, the acting-Prime Minister, Hon. E. A. Ransom, stated to-day that any legislation necessary for validating gifts to thie fund by local bodies will be introduced.
