DIGGERS' CONCERT.
An excellent programme is to be presented by many of Auckland's leading ~,.,r. ,(, ; lr tieta in the "Diggero' " coml.'.'jiiity sirii; and concert, to be staged in tin' j.own l-Lall on Wednesday evening, Jiine 5, proceeds being devoted to the comforts fund established by the Auckland branch of the X.Z.R.S.A. in aid of "DiKKCiH ,, in the .Mental Hospital. Major-Gcnerdi -Sir George Riehardeou will net as chairman dih'ing the evening's entertainment, which will consist of a mixed bill, in which the popular community singing is to be Riven a large share. The artiste who will be heard include Misiee Gwenda Weir (Moprano). Kiiy (""lristie (contralto). l>iplmi' Eligliftm (violin)., and Moira and Sunday Mowbruy (piano duettista), Mv. •ind'Jiis. •!. W. Bailey (elocutionary and dramatic bntevtainers), and Menem. .Ink Finlayson (inimonr), OntJlev (tenor) and CicofVre.v Laird (bafitone).
