DAYLIGHT SAVING.
LESS POWER CONSUMPTION.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
GISBORNE, this day.
The extension of daylight saving thig year cost the Poverty Bay Power Board approximately £200. Returns presented to yesterday's meeting showed that the revenue for April declined by this amount, mainly under headings of lighting, and cooking and heating. The chairman, Mr. F. R. Ball, said this was the first time that the revenue for the month of April had shown a decline, the main causes being tho extension of summertime and the fact that the month was unusually mild.
