WEEK FINISHES WELL
GOOD LIST OF SALES.
N.Z. INSURANCES HIGHER. Bidding at the last call of the week was steady, and the list of sales recorded was bigger than is usual on a Saturday morning. Value*, generally showed few changes, but New Zealand Insurances registered a sharp recovery with a sale at £3 11/3, after which holders asked 3d higher, and buyers dropped out. South British were still neglected, with sellers at £4 18/6 and no buyers. Conl shares were in keen demand, and buyers for Pukemiios moved up to £1 4/0 without attracting holders*. In the banking section both Commercials and New 'Zealands seemed steadier. After fresh business in the former at 15/3 and in the latter at £2 10/6', buyers remained in at those prices. Government stocks were in firm request, with very little offering. SALES COMPLETED. AT THE 3.15 P.M. CALL. YESTERDAY— j Last Sale. £ s (1 £ s a Bank of N.S.W.
