HEAVY FALL IN HOLDINGS
(Received 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, May 23. The Lank rate has been raised by J per cent to 3 per cent, owing to the Bank of France's gold holding again falling heavily. The bank has lost £38,000,000 worth of gold, mostly to London and New York, since the beginning of April.
