The quarter-finals of the lawn tennis doubles championship of France, all keenly contested, resulted:— McGrath and Turnbull defeated Boussus and Bernard, 7—5, C—2, 9 —ll, I—6. o—3; Crawford and Quist defeated Menzel and Heclit (Czecho-Slovakia), o—2, o—3, 3—o, 7—5; Legeay and Lesueur defeated Kirby and Farquharson (South Africa), 4—o, 11—9, o—l, 5—7, C —3; Perry and Tuckey defeated Borotra and Brugnon, 14—12, I—o, o—B, C—l, C—4.
