Noted Professor of Economics Killed. LOSS TO AUSTRALIA. (Received 11.30 n.m.) ADELAIDE, this day. Professor Edward O. G. Sliaiin, professor of economics at the University of Adelaide, was fatally injured last night. He was found on the concrete pavement in front of the University building, his skull having been badly fractured in a fall from the second storey of the building. He died en route to hospital. Professor Shann was one of Australia's foremost economists and assisted the Australian Governments to grapple with the depression. He was 51 years of age.
